Ajanta Caves

Sculptures and paintings of Ajanta and Ellora are considered as works of Buddhist art. This proved to be the biggest development of Buddhist art in India. This cave is considered the world Heritage site by UNESCO in 1983. The paintings on the walls and ceiling and reflect shine Ajanta Ellora India Golden age related Gupta Dynasty. The paintings in the Ajanta Caves have statues of animals and human forms that make them as a watermark on the creativity of artists.

The caves of Ajanta and Ellora are classified into different phases: first phase is the phase of the Hinayana, in this phase, the Buddha used to worship in the form of some symbols. Another one is the Mahayana phase. In this phase, the Buddha used to worship in some physical form.
