Borobudur

Borobudur is the biggest temple in Indonesia. Borobudur temple is located in Magelang, Central Java, besides being famous tourist attraction, the temple is also a center of worship for Buddhists in Indonesia, especially at all Vesak celebrations. Borobudur Temple also known as "Monastery on the hill" as it is located in the hills.

This temple was built around 800 BC or 9th century has been designated as a UNESCO cultural heritage and not just make a proud people in Indonesia but also worldwide. This Buddhist temple has 1460 relief and 504 Buddhist stupa. Borobudur Temple was built by Samaratungga, one of the kings of Mataram Kuna, ethnicity Sailendra. Gunadarma is the architect of the winning entry as a building of this temple.
