Long-term 'must be the only reason Steven Spielberg did not choose St. Lucia, Kwa-Zulu wetlands Natal, South Africa, to shoot the dinosaur epic trilogy, Jurassic Park 1, 2 and 3.
Here, pristine rivers and streams, lush marshes, sand dunes and beaches are endless, endless savannah grasslands and stunning underwater coral reefs and canyons look like dinosaurs roamed the earth today.
Not surprisingly, the area inspired many a name in hopes of finding the right one enough to do justice to the early Portuguese explorers heaven before finally settling in Santa Lucia, or St. Lucy.
